MEN'S BOWLING TEAM TAKES EIGHTH AT KEGEL/ISBPA COLLEGIATE CLASSIC

(LEBANON, Ill., Oct. 28)—The McKendree University men’s bowling team posted an eighth-place finish at the Kegel/ISBPA Collegiate Classic held Saturday and Sunday in Addison, Ill.
The Bearcats were in fifth place after the six-game team blocks, followed by 10 Baker games. McKendree had pin total of 7,700 and was just 400 pins off the top qualifier, Wichita State University.
With its fifth-place effort, McKendree reached the eight-team knockout round, which determined the team champion. The Bearcats had the lowest score in their flight and were eliminated in the first round.
Individually, junior J.R. Raymond (Gaylord, Mich./Gaylord) rolled to fifth place in the overall standings. Raymond averaged 207.3 over six games. Senior Willie Jubiter (Chicago, Ill./Morgan Park) placed 12th with an average of 199.7.
McKendree will return to action Oct. 31-Nov. 1 at the Boilermaker Classic, which is hosted by Purdue University in Lafayette, Ind.
