(LEBANON, Ill., Oct. 29) – The No. 13 McKendree University men’s soccer team won their 14th game of the season on Thursday night with a 2-0 American Midwest Conference win over Harris-Stowe State University.
 
No. 13 McKendree, now 14-1-2 overall (5-1 AMC), will travel to Walnut Ridge, Ark., on Monday, November 2 to close out the regular season with a AMC game against Williams Baptist College at 2 p.m.
 
After a scoreless first half, the Bearcats lit up the scoreboard in the 71st minute on a goal by sophomore midfielder Daniele Campailla (Moerfelden-Walldorf, Germany) on a pass from sophomore midfielder Tom Ward (Frodsham, England) to take a 1-0 lead. McKendree put things out of reach in the 76th minute on goal by junior defender Steve Axe (Oshawa, Ontario, Canada) on a pass from Campailla to give McKendree the 2-0 lead and seal the win.
 
Sophomore Joe Sagar (Oldham, England) played all 90 minutes in goal for McKendree and had three saves in the contest.
